ByStorm is proud to be an NDIS Registered Provider. Our adaptive Beauty tools are classified as low-cost assistive technology (AT), which means they can be purchased with NDIS funding if it aligns with your funded support needs. 

Self managed 

Simply add your NDIS number in the notes at checkout, and pay using your preferred payment method. You’ll receive an receipt by email & invoice that states paid, which you can upload to the NDIS portal to claim your reimbursement.

Yes if they are considered reasonable and necessary for your support needs. ByStorm products are considered low-cost assistive technology (AT) & do not require a quote or OT report as they are under $1,500 each.

Low Cost Assistive technology is language used by the NDIS . Any assistive technology (AT) item that costs under $1,500 per item qualifies as low-cost AT.

What makes it “low-cost” beyond just the price:

  • It’s easy to use and doesn’t require specialised installation or professional setup.
  • It’s usually “off-the-shelf” rather than custom-made.
  • It doesn’t often need an OT (occupational therapist) report or quote.
  • It is low risk — meaning there is little chance it will cause injury or require complicated maintenance or training.

If you are plan or NDIA managed:

  • Your items will be shipped when we receive payment from your Plan Manager or the NDIA.

Please note this can take quite a number of weeks based on the processing time of your plan manager. We will keep you updated along the way.

If you a self managed:

  • If you are self-managed and pay upfront, your items will be shipped straight away.
  • A receipt for proof of payment will be sent, and a paid invoice so you can claim these in the NDIS portal.
