ABOUT BYSTORM
Beauty Shouldn’t Feel Like a Battle.
Ever struggled to open a lipstick?
Fumbled with a mascara wand?
Felt frustrated because makeup just wasn’t designed for your hands?
Yeah. Same.
ByStorm was built for everyone who’s ever had to fight with their makeup. Because beauty should be effortless, fun, and yours.
No beige medical vibes. No compromises.
We’re not fixing people. We’re fixing the tool
How it started.
ByStorm began with an injury — and a lifetime of adapting, often without realising it.
When our founder Storm hurt her dominant hand, something as simple as holding a mascara wand became impossible.
She searched for tools to help. There weren’t any. So she started making her own.
She taught herself to 3D model and trying ot find a solution. But Storm didn’t build this alone. She turned to the people who understood; her community of disabled friends, carers, and support workers.
She asked: What’s not working for you? One answer stuck:
“Makeup isn’t made for people like me — because no one thinks I could be beautiful.”
That changed everything.
Together, they tested. Adapted. Tried again. And again.
What started in Storm’s garage became something bigger: - accessible beauty tools that snap onto the makeup you already love
Then Storm found Anja
We create accessible tools that snap onto your favourite makeup — helping you hold, twist, swipe, and glow with less effort and more joy.
No glue. No hacks. No “special” label. Just damn good design.
- Soft-touch, medical-grade silicone
- Easy to hold, easy to clean, hard to drop
- Works with pencils, tubes, sticks and brushes
- Built to blend into your routine — and stand out in your beauty bag
Two founders. One mission.
A whole industry to fix.
Made With You, Not Just For You
We co-design every product with people who’ve been left out of beauty for too long. The LEAG (Lived Experience Advisory Group) is 25+ people with lived experience of disability, chronic illness, and neurodivergence who test, challenge, and shape every ByStorm product. Not a focus group. An actual part of how this gets made.
